The timing belt is a vital element of your 4-stroke engine, used to synchronize the movement of valves with the pistons. For 2-stroke HPDI with the pistons. For 2-stroke engines, the timing belt is used to drive the high-pressure fuel pump. The timing belt should be replaced every five years or every 1000 hours of operation (1st maturity reached).
